Completely agree with what your saying about those websites. I certainlywouldn't be on them either if it wasn't for this project! & I think that’s the main problem, we want to be entertained not bored to death by rubbish layouts &a lack of colour!

It's called FLICK OFF! I like the way it uses FLICK throughout the website to convey a double meaning. i.e. "ARE WE FLICKED?" & "GOFLICK YOURSELF!"
Also, a recent pop culture trend of the last few years that focused on current globalissues were lollipop t-shirts (think that’s what they're called anyway!) Phrases on these famous tees included... "Make love not war" & "drop beats not bombs". i really like this tone of voice - do something positive, not something negative.
